Physical Therapy declare “dry needling” is in scope

The Arizona State Board of Physical Therapy met today and decided to adopt “dry needling” into their scope of practice. However, only the legislature can expand the scope of practice of a profession, and therefore the ASBPT has acted outside of their protocol as a regulatory agency.

As a profession we must prepare to move forward. Please support our efforts to protect our community as we continue to raise money for legislative and legal efforts. $25 or $50 per month from each practitioner will go a long way to covering our costs. Donations can be made through AZSOMA earmarked “Dry Needling Fund” or directly to CAAS.
